The soul of coders is darkness: sometimes craftsmen do truly impressive and useful things, and sometimes it remains only to guess about their motives. Recently, for example, hackers have managed to run the first Xbox emulator on the Nintendo Switch. Because of the useless performance, there is little sense from such an experiment, but this, as they say, is a completely different story.
The video appeared on the channel Voxel9 a few days ago, but, as often happens, the press got to him only now. The author of the video demonstrates how using Linux OS and XQEMU emulator you can run games for the original Xbox on the Nintendo Switch. The result is not that too encouraging. What is in Halo: Combat Evolved, that in Jet Set Radio Future the frame rate is depressingly low, but to the credit of the coder, both games work without failures.
Nintendo Switch often becomes a field for experiments enthusiasts. Windows 10 , then Android Q , or even pirated SX OS are installed on the console – and no warning that intruders can block the device prefixes the hackers.
