It is difficult to overestimate the contribution of Steve Jobs in the development of Apple. Even if he was not the only one in the company who devoted himself entirely to work and rolled out one innovation after another, it was his charisma and assertiveness that conquered millions. So says another IT genius – Bill Gates. The founder of Microsoft is confident that Jobs possessed "magical" magnetism.
Gates is convinced that Apple has achieved tremendous success solely thanks to the outstanding skills of Steve Jobs as a speaker and leader. The head of Microsoft said that Jobs fascinated people and used “real magic” in order to motivate them to great accomplishments. Thanks to this gift, according to Gates, Steve could revive the “perishing” company.
“He read spells, and I saw how they act on people – he bewitched them! I myself am a kind of "younger wizard", so the spell did not work on me. But I have never been able to “conjure” like this, ”Gates admitted.
In support of his words, the entrepreneur recalled the sad story of the NeXT company, which Jobs headed in the late 1980s. The whole initiative, according to Gates, was a complete failure, and the company could not sell a single computer. But Jobs did not despair and until recently believed in success. And with him believed and "enchanted" employees who were laid out in full. Later, the long-suffering NeXT bought Apple.
By the way, Bill Gates didn’t stop there alone. He also had words of criticism: well, the billionaire noted that the founder and the former head of Apple had a very bad temper and he often turned into a real despot.
“I often disagreed with the way he prefers to lead people, as well as with some of his crazy ideas, because of which they had to work hard many times more. […] It is easy to remember the bad qualities of Steve – because sometimes he could be a real goat. But I have never met people who could find incredible talents and motivate them to work as well as Jobs. He did it playfully, in the spirit of "This is good, but this is bad." So, despite all his despotism, he brought a lot of good into the work, ”Bill Gates is sure.
In spite of everything, the founder of Microsoft treats Jobs with great respect. And although, according to Gates, Steve was in all respects a complex person, he still made a real revolution that turned the world of high technologies.
