Teclast X4 – a portable novelty on a full-fledged Windows 10
Teclast has announced the release of a new Teclast X4 hybrid laptop. The device has a 11.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. Thanks to the connected keyboard, the X4 can be used as a tablet or laptop, depending on the conditions and the tasks required. This is convenient for those who equally often work in the office and on the road.
For performance Teclast X4 meets the processor Intel Celeron N4100 paired with 8 GB of RAM. For processing graphics, the chip is Intel UHD Graphics 600. 128 GB of internal memory is enough to store any information: from text and image files to high-quality movies.
Two cameras are built into the case: the main one with a resolution of 5 megapixels and the front one of 2 megapixels, which allows video conferencing and shooting important documents or work scenes. Teclast X4 works on a full-fledged Windows 10 Home and supports the launch of any modern applications, including work with the stylus – another official accessory for a laptop. The expected cost of Teclast X4 is $ 329.99.
The OnePlus Head was stunned by the OnePlus 7 Pro screen
Tomorrow Pete Lau, the head of OnePlus, will announce the date of the premiere of a pair of flagships OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. According to Lau, OnePlus this year spent three times more resources on display development, expecting the panel to become a new benchmark for mobile screens.
I am pleased to announce that the next OnePlus product will open a new era of speed and smoothness. Especially smoothness! Ensuring smooth operation is more difficult than fast operation — this is a real test for hardware and software. A new product is simply beautiful – I can't wait to see it!
According to rumors, OnePlus 7 Pro will receive a screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, which will be the main difference from its predecessors along with a 5G modem. For comparison, gaming smartphones Razer Phone 1 and 2 has a screen with a frequency of 120 Hz, ASUS ROG Phone – 90 Hz, tablet Apple iPad Pro – 120 Hz. According to previous leaks , the “heart” of the OnePlus 7 Pro will be the newest mobile Snapdragon 855 processor in combination with 8 GB of RAM and internal storage with a capacity of 256 GB. The display diagonal of the 5G novelty will be 6.67 inches.
Qualcomm and Apple are working on a new fingerprint scanner for the iPhone
Most smartphone makers continue to use fingerprint scanners along with a face recognition system. However, most vendors integrate scanners with a display, making them invisible to the eyes of the layman. Two years ago, Apple abandoned this technology in favor of Face ID, but insiders repeatedly hinted at the possibility of the return of a more familiar fingerprint scanner in new versions of apple devices.
According to rumors, Apple and Qualcomm have joined forces to integrate the fingerprint sensor into the screen of the new iPhone. Technology similar to the ultrasonic sensor in the Samsung Galaxy S10 is under development. Ultrasound scanners are considered faster, safer, and work accurately with wet or dirty hands. Compared with optical sensors, they are able to read a skin pattern in 250 ms and have a maximum error of 1%.
Despite these achievements, there are known cases of circumventing protection using 3D models printed on special printers. Apple and Qualcomm will have to overcome these difficulties before introducing a new scanner into the iPhone.
According to the IHS Markit research report, the fingerprint smartphone market will reach 100 million devices this year.
LG is preparing a smartphone with a triple selfie camera
LG has filed a patent for a smartphone with three front-facing cameras. The device schematic document is registered with the World Intellectual Property Office and was discovered by the Tiger Mobiles blog. The figure shows a smartphone with a back cover, reminiscent of the LG V50 ThinQ, a system of three cameras behind and in front.
Camera functions are unknown, but the zoom function is probably not provided, as it is rarely used in selfies. Presumably, we are talking about a high-resolution camera, a wide-angle module and a depth sensor.
It is not known whether the triple self-camera will become a reality or whether it is a company's backup plan.
