The company OUKITEL announced the release of a new smartphone OUKITEL Y4800. The chip of the gadget will be a dual camera with a resolution of 48 + 5 MP sensors and support for AI algorithms. The front camera will be equipped with a 16-megapixel sensor with wide-angle optics for group shooting.
The device will receive a 6.3-inch display with a resolution of Full HD + and teardrop-shaped cut-out. The “heart” of the smartphone running Android 9.0 Pie will be the MediaTek Helio P60 chipset with the support of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory.
OUKITEL Y4800 will be on sale in June, the price of new items will be announced later.
The impressive battery capacity of the Vivo Z5x is revealed in the photo.
Vivo top manager Wu Fan has posted a photo of the Vivo Z5x. The smartphone will get a 6.53-inch display with a small opening for the front camera directly in the matrix. Inside the case with a thickness of 8 mm will accommodate a 5000 mAh battery.
The photo reveals the battery life of the Vivo Z5x: after 14 hours of play for two days, the battery retained 13% of the charge. Presumably, the Z5x is built on Snapdragon 670 or 675, runs on Android 9.0 Pie with Funtouch 9 shell and will cost about € 200.
Lenovo L38111 on Snapdragon 710 passed certification and testing on the eve of the announcement
Earlier this month, Lenovo certified the L38111 smartphone in the Chinese agency TENAA, Bluetooth SIG and 3C. According to Chinese sources, we are talking about the Lenovo K6 Note 2019 model. Lenovo L38111 is based on an eight-core processor with a frequency of 2.2 GHz – presumably, Snapdragon 710.
Lenovo K6 Note 2019 will receive 6 GB of RAM and Android 9.0 Pie. In single-core and multi-core modes, the smartphone is gaining 1856 and 6085 points, respectively. According to the 3C certification, the gadget supports fast charging up to 18 watts.
May 22, Lenovo may also introduce Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition with model number L78121.
Xiaomi will release a 4K-projector with HDR support
IGeekPhone has reported that Xiaomi has developed a laser projector for a wide audience with 4K resolution (3840×2160 pixels) and HDR 10 technology support. In connection with the narrow specialization of the device, Xiaomi announced the launch of pre-orders to the projector through a crowdfunding platform with a down payment.
With a price of $ 1576, the new product will receive 2 GB of RAM, an ARM processor (which model is not specified), 64 GB of internal memory of the eMMC and a software shell based on MIUI TV 4.0. The projector creates an image with a brightness of 5,000 lumens diagonal up to 150 inches. The device can hardly be called portable: with declared dimensions of 456 x 308 x 91 mm, its weight will be 7.5 kg.
Xiaomi promises to equip the projector with two 30-watt speakers, a Bluetooth antenna, three HDMI 2.0 connectors, a USB 2.0 port, and an SPDIF interface. The voice control of the projector will be available with the help of a voice assistant from Xiaomi. No sales start date has been announced.
LG will teach smartphones to recognize human emotions
LG has outlined a new strategy to strengthen its position in the smartphone market. The company intends to delve into the artificial intelligence segment and create its own specialized chip for the operation of AI algorithms.
LG is not the first manufacturer to make a machine learning processor for smartphones. Huawei was one of the first to start this trend, soon Apple and Samsung followed suit. It is curious that Qualcomm, the largest manufacturer of mobile chips, does not have a dedicated chip for AI and simply uses all the standard processor cores for this.
The idea of a specialized AI-chip is to unload the main processor and take on the projected tasks, including offline, without the need to connect to the network. It also means that the processed data can be stored on the device itself without being connected to the network. LG chip will recognize objects in space, recognize and synthesize speech, detect changes in the environment, recognize emotions and human behavior.
Technical details and approximate deadlines for the development of LG AI coprocessor are unknown.
