Succeeding in the market of mobile operating systems and search engines, Google has not yet been able to develop a social network that would enjoy users as well as Facebook or LinkedIn. But the company does not give up and presented its third attempt in this area.
Back in 2011, Google tried to win an audience with Schemer service similar in functionality. Three years later, the social network was closed. Now the company is trying to restart it.
The trial version of Shoelace is in the testing phase and is designed to help users find people of interest to attend a sporting event, a show or a movie trip together. The motto of the social network – "Find people with whom you have common interests." In Shoelace, you can create a list of events in which you participate – with the possibility of inviting friends and other users. Additionally, there is a calendar of upcoming events.
At the moment, the mobile client Shoelance is available for Android and iOS devices, but so far exclusively for US residents.
