The company Xiaomi has announced a change in the beta test program firmware MIUI. The manufacturer intends to shorten the distribution of the version for developers, and for some models such assemblies will stop coming out at all.
“Today, we are becoming increasingly demanding on product quality, and MIUI is no exception. We get valuable feedback through the developer version, thereby improving the stability and smoothness of MIUI. We decided to update our strategy for models Xiaomi and Redmi, ”- said in a statement.
From July 5, MIUI beta versions will be released only for devices that were released no more than a year ago. As for models that are compatible with the latest version of Android and which is not yet one year old, developers will continue to recruit enthusiasts to test new builds. In addition, new entry-level Redmi smartphones, such as the Redmi 7A , will no longer receive the MIUI version for developers.
It is important to note that the timing of support for all devices, including budget models, this change will not affect in any way. Stable MIUI assemblies will come out as before.
